“A much needed fresh taste to Surfside Beach. The food was fresh, delicious, and fast. The Hyena Balls are the best meatballs I’ve ever eaten. Hot Pawley’s Island Palmetto Cheese Dip with the pizza crust chips is a brilliant idea. Pizza had fresh ingredients and a delightful taste. Staff was on point, friendly, and attentive. Stop by and grab a cold drink and good food, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Ok I have been back to Pizza Hyena 6 times now. Never been disappointed. The staff still has the attitude of a newly open restaurant. No matter if your a banker or a biker, you will be treated like family. If the management and his staff could be cloned, I would open one in my home town.”

“Went to Surfside for the weekend and discovered this place on Yelp. Sat outside on the patio. Megan was our server and she was awesome! Knowledgeable about the menu and steered us in the right direction. We started with their wings and their buffalo sauce with delicious. I had Snailed it pizza. Generous amount of snails with garlic sauce and cheese. It was delicious. My daughter had the chicken Caesar salad that was over loaded with shredded chicken! Lastly the ham and cheesy Sammy was delish as well. Great selection of beer, wine and fun cocktails! Looking forward to returning soon!”

“Very good pizza. Definitely different. We had a great waitress named Jill she was from Texas. She was attentive, friendly, and attractive. This place is a must try when you want something out of the ordinary. I had a gouda cheese pizza with wild boar sausage, caramelized onions, and a red sauce. My friend had a bacon pizza with mozzarella cheese and a LOW CARB crust made from califour. I tried it and really liked it.”

“This place is AMAZING. My favorites are the pimento cheese, wings, and the clucked up pizza (bbq chicken pizza) – also love their Moscow mules. I’ve eaten there & gotten the food delivered to me…insanely good either way! The owner is very involved & a super friendly guy.”

“Awesome new restaurant destined to become a locals favorite. Absolutely delicious wild fired pizza with so many choices from the eclectic to the tried and true. Great salad and sandwich choices as well. An added bonus is many great vegetarian options. Excellent decor and atmosphere. Locally owned and operated which is always a plus! Do yourself a favor and eat there!”

“We really enjoyed our experience. We were quickly greeted when we approached the entrance. We had the olive with warm bread appetizer. The bread was really good. I love olives so it was the perfect appetizer. The salad was fresh. We ordered two different 10 inch pizzas so we could share. The names given to the various pizzas on their menu are very entertaining and creative. Devin was a very good server. Richie and the staff made us feel welcomed. For only being opened 12 days, they really have it together. We are local and definitely will be back!”
