Pizza Hyena is a proud member of the Dining & Design team of restaurants founded by Nate Anderson in 2017. We wanted to make a pizza restaurant that was based on FRESH AND FUN so in steps Hiney the Hyena! ~ He’s quite the character, but the main thing he wants to convey to our guests is that his place is about quality food and really good times! There is a great selection of local craft beers that pair perfectly with our menu and some WILD and FUN specialty drink choices as well.
We are earth friendly and use compostable plastic or recycled paper products. Our dough and all of our sauces are made fresh daily, and our meats, cheese, and produce, are all hand cut and sourced as much as possible from local farms in our area. Hyena pizza crust is made from scratch with the finest 00 Italian flour, semolina, agave nectar, pink Himalayan sea salt, avocado oil and of course lots of love.
There is nothing fried on our menu so all of our delicious hot items are cooked in our wild fired pizza oven with its amazing wood aroma – this makes the wings off da’ chain!
Our pizza menu is constantly changing based on seasonal ingredients and availability. As you’ll see, it’s pretty creative and will have you cackling like a hyena while you read through. It was fun to create to say the least….
We are family friendly, but we are a restaurant/bar concept (more like a bar with fantastic food) with indoor and outdoor seating, by the ocean in front of the pier in Surfside Beach. You can walk up from the beach and sit at our patio bar or come for a nice lunch or dinner. Casual and friendly with rustic décor and always excellent service with smiles. If you just want to chill at the beach house or condo, then take advantage of our curbside carryout.
